For ESG-oriented investors, we have consistently aligned the “Green Tech Portfolio” and the “Green Tech ESG Equity Fund” with the EU guidelines for sustainable investments, the so-called “Sustainable Financial Disclosure Regulation” (SFDR). The Green Tech ESG Equity Fund complies with the Article 9 standard and the Green Tech Portfolio (AMC) reflects this investment policy.

Dr. Giuseppe Benelli
Dr. Giuseppe Benelli brings decades of experience in finance and investment management. After earning his PhD in economics from the University of Bern in 1982, he joined UBS in Zurich, where he headed the research division responsible for financial analysis and fund management. In 1988, he moved to Bank Leu as Chief Investment Officer, overseeing financial analysis and portfolio management, and later served as a member of the Executive Board.

From 2000 to 2003, Dr. Benelli was Chief Investment Officer and a member of the Executive Committee at Swiss Re, where he was responsible for global asset management. He then joined Vontobel Asset Management in 2003 as CIO, Head of the Group Investment Centre, and member of the Group Executive Management. Since 2008, he has been working as an independent advisor.

Simon Bünzli
Business economist with an MSc in Banking and Finance as well as a certified financial analyst and asset manager (CIIA). Extensive experience as a project manager for the setup of private label funds and currently Head of Risk Management at Accuro Fund Solutions AG.

Daniel Brühwiler, CEO and Founder

Daniel Brühwiler has more than 35 years of experience in investment management. As the founder, CEO, and majority shareholder of Global Strategic Capital, he shapes the strategic direction of the company. His particular expertise lies in technology investments, where he identifies structural trends such as artificial intelligence, green tech, AI infrastructure, space technology, and quantum computing at an early stage and translates them into structured investment strategies.

Otmar Steinberger, Investment Office

Otmar Steinberger has more than 30 years of experience in equity investments. As an investment specialist at Global Strategic Capital, he is jointly responsible for developing fact-based, systematic investment strategies. He contributes his particular expertise in technical analysis and fundamental research to our technology research, the design of technology portfolios, and risk management. He also has extensive experience with relative and absolute momentum approaches, which are used in all of our investment strategies.

Bryan Brühwiler, Investment Office, ESG-Analyst

Bryan Brühwiler has been part of the investment office and Portfolio Management team at Global Strategic Capital AG since April 2020. He acquired his solid knowledge in finance and technology at ZHAW, the University of St. Gallen and the University of Cambridge.

With his expertise, he plays a key role in the technical analyses and fundamental research applied across all of the company’s investment strategies. In addition, as an ESG Analyst with specialized training in sustainability, he is responsible for managing the sustainable investment process of the Green Tech ESG Equity Fund (Article 9 under SFDR).

Moritz Mössner, Investment Office

Moritz Mössner works in the Investment Office at Global Strategic Capital, focusing on biodiversity, humanoid robotics and selected areas of the space sector. His studies in political science and biodiversity give him an interdisciplinary perspective, which he combines with quantitative and statistical methods.

We act transparently and communicate proactively. For this reason, we regularly publish a comprehensive investment update in the form of an electronic newsletter. In it, investment decisions are explained and we discuss new trends we are following. In addition, we explain the weighting and rationale of the positions held in the portfolios in simple and understandable language.
